This 4-day desert tour from Marrakech to Fes is one of the most memorable experiences you can have in Morocco. Moreover, Marrakech and Fes, are two of Morocco’s oldest cities. They are linked by this desert excursion. The journey begins with a view of the high Atlas Mountains in the distance, where the scenery is simply breathtaking. It is also a chance to learn about a different culture by visiting various Berber villages along the trip.
The natural landscape shifts towards a desert environment as you travel further south. Then, it is time to explore the South’s wonders. Such as the Kasbahs, the Dades, and Todgha gorges, and the Rose Valley. Until you reach Merzouga’s famed desert. This is where you will find a beautiful luxury camp. You’ll spend the night in a Berber tent surrounded by sand dunes here. There, You will go on a camel ride to explore the desert and wonder at the Moroccan starry sky as an activity!
Day1: Marrakech – Atlas Mountains – Kasbah Ait Benhaddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Valley
Your 3 days Marrakech to Merzouga desert tour will depart from your riad or hotel at about 07h30 in the morning.
Our 3 days Morocco desert tour will begin with a drive to Kasbah Ait Ben Hadou. We must first get through the Tizi Ntichka pass and the High Atlas Mountains. There will be numerous stops along the way. Visit the Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This magnificent village has also been used as a backdrop for a number of Hollywood blockbusters.
For lunch, we continue to Ouarzazate. We drive to the oasis of Skoura in the afternoon, which is noted for its Kasbah of Amridil, which is well worth a visit.
We continue our journey from here, passing through the Valley of the Roses and the village of Kalaa Mgouna. The rose distillation companies in this region of Morocco are well-known and very famous. You will have the chance to see some incredible fortified
adobe Berber communities called Ksours from your car window and enjoy the incredible landscape. We arrive at our accommodation in Dades Valley at the end of the day.
Dinner and overnight at your Riad.
Day 2: Dades Valley – Tinghir – Merzouga – Ergg Chebbi.
After breakfast, travel to Tinghir via the 1001 Kasbahs road. You can take a walk along the Todgha River when you arrive at this wonderful paradise. Visit Ksours and Berber Villages. Only when you reach the beautiful Todgha Canyons’ massive cliffs will you know your morning excursion was well worth it!
Before continuing on to Merzouga, stop in the Gorges for a fantastic Berber lunch.
Meet your camel caravan when the road ends when you arrive in Erg Chebbi. Ride your camel over the shifting sand dunes to witness one of the most spectacular sunsets ever.
Arrive at your Luxury Sahara desert camp just as the sunsets. After you have settled in your Luxury tent, take a hike up one of the local sand dunes to take in the desert’s tranquility. Under the magic stars, a delicious Moroccan dinner will be served.
You will now prepare to put your drumming skills to the test with the nomads. Your camp hosts will entertain you with their Tam-tam drums around the campfire. Take advantage of the nearby dunes, which reveal a spectacular show of shooting stars and crisp constellations.

Day3: Erg Chebbi – Merzouga - Fes
We will arrive at the camp operator’s resort in Merzouga for breakfast and shower after an early morning camel journey over the dunes of Erg Chebbi. Meet your driver/guide and depart on a magnificent journey to Fes, passing through Errachidia, the capital of the Tafilalt area, and crossing the Ziz Valley.
We continue our journey to Midelt, before continuing our adventure over the Middle Atlas Mountains, passing through the Cedar Forests and the Berber villages of Imouzzar and Ifran, both of which are popular winter ski resorts for Moroccans.
Late in the afternoon, we arrive in Fes.

Day 4: Fes sightseeing
After breakfast in your riad, begin your 10-day tour from Casablanca on an exploratory stroll around the Medina, where you will see many hidden treasures that only the locals are aware of. First and foremost, Fes served as Morocco’s capital for more than 350 years and is home to the University of Al Karaouine, the world’s oldest operational university. As a result, your guided tour will take you to the Mausoleum of Moulay Idriss, the Nejjarine Fountains, and the Tanneries.
After lunch, you’ll walk through the historical Jewish quarter “the Mellah” and see the outside of the Royal Palace. You will have the opportunity to see one of Morocco’s few remaining synagogues. In addition, your Fes tour includes a short visit to a famous pottery plant, followed by a breathtaking panoramic view over the entire Medina of Fes.
